Polish PBG Signs $252 mln Contract in Armenia

Polish engineering and construction firm PBG PBGG.WA has signed a contract worth $252 million to rebuild and modernise plant of Armenian chemical firm Nairit Plant CJSC, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

The Polish company said this year it was seeking to expand beyond its core business of building gas and oil installations.

The project will be completed in 30 months, PBG said.

PBG's shares closed up 0.7 percent at 312.30 zlotys ($145.3) on Thursday and outperformed Warsaw's large-cap WIG20 index .WIG20, which closed down 0.2 percent.
