Makeyan and Zakaryan Sentenced to Imprisonment

The press secretary of the Court of Cassation reports that on June 13 the Court of General Jurisdiction of the region of Shirak passed verdict on Ashot Zakaryan, Petros Makeyan and Shota Saghatelyan and sentenced them to 28 months, 3 years and 28 months in prison respectively for hindering the fulfillment of the right to vote, the activities of election commissions or the duties of the persons participating in the election.
The court decided to put Shota Saghatelyan on probation for two years, and set him free from the courtroom in accordance with Article 70 of the Crime Code of Armenia.
